One of my new favourite grains to eat is Quinoa – it is so versatile and fabulous.

I decided to try and make some Quinoa porridge and I was pleasantly surprised, it was absolutely delicious.

What is Quinoa?

Quinoa is a grain crop that is grown for its edible seeds. It is pronounced KEEN-wah.

Incredible Protein Source, Very high in fibre, reduces blood sugar, gluten free, contains all the essential amino acids, low glycemic index, high in minerals especially magnesium. Major benefits for Metabolic Health, loaded with anti-oxidants, helps with weight loss ( but no if you are on a low-carb diet )

Ingredients ( Feeds 4 )

2 x Cups Quinoa

2 Cups Almond Milk

2 Cups Water

2 x Organic Bananas

1 x TBS Organic Cinnamon

1 x TBS Organic Raw Honey

Boil The Kettle

Pour your 2 cups of Quinoa into a pot with 2 Cups Almond Milk

Once the kettle is boiled pour two cups of water into pot

Allow water to boil, turn down stove and allow to simmer for 15 – 25 minutes until quinoa has absorbed almond milk & water

Put into a bowl, cut up the bananas, add cinnamon, more almond milk & honey.
